Why?
You may be asking, “What kind of Medium blog will this be?” Will this blog be academically oriented, or is it going to be another place to expand on my shitposting? If I was going to be pretentious I would say how this blog will take shitposting to its ultimate conclusion. Making articles about rigorous shitposting that take memes, critical theory, and cultural analysis and makes something brand new and incomprehensible.
The truth is there are plenty of other accounts already doing this. Some of these accounts are quite lacking, while others are taking this approach to a level that I could never come close to replicating. What I hope to accomplish in this blog is to be able to express large ideas without having to resort to making a Twitter thread. I also plan on actually producing a content worth reading that is detached from any “post-ironic” or satirical approach. It’s not that I dislike those modes of online behavior. Quite the contrary, I find these modes completely indispensable, for reasons I will expand on a current article I’m working on involving figures like Q from “The book club”, “Jreg”, and “Justin Murphy”.
I personally understand the limits of my abilities and any preconceived notions of how good of a writer or “thinker” I am should immediately be diffused. I’m not trying to become a thinker, a blogger, or a figure. In the simplest way, I can articulate what my mission is, I simply want to engage In an act of expression.
The shame of being a man — is there any better reason to write?
-Gilles Deleuze
This blog is just another platform to make a set of impressions. I’ve always felt insecure about my presentation online since this isn’t the first time I’ve shared my work online. In fact, for those who are “hardcore”, it’s really easy to find online work that I’m directly associated with, and many of you who I know at a personal level may be privy to those outlets. My insecurity stems from a lack of formal training. My only education in “critical theory” comes from my education as a Philosophy Major. I’ve always felt and perhaps will always feel like a pseud or a “phony”, but maybe this is what it means to bear the embarrassment that anyone willing to share their work bears.
In short, the main theme of this blog Is truly an unconditional accelerationist approach. I don’t know where this creative process will take us. All I know is that we are fast approaching a singularity.
